Business Data Analyst Intern
Denison Consulting is a management consulting firm headquartered in Ann Arbor, Michigan. We provide diagnostic assessment tools and high-impact consulting solutions to improve our clients’ organizational culture and support leadership development. Our consulting and diagnostic tools are rooted in 25+ years of ongoing research and are used by clients around the globe (e.g., Pfizer, Domino’s Pizza, and the Defense Logistics Agency) to manage organizational change and develop leaders.
We are currently seeking an intern to start immediately at 10 hours per week. This intern will assist the Research and Development team with essential business data management and analysis tasks, with the potential for limited project-related analyses. This intern will fill a very cross-functional role at the company.
The Business Data Analyst Intern’s responsibilities include (but are not limited to):
- Supporting the use of data to fulfill and inform a variety of business functions
- Cleaning data and databases
- Conducting exploratory analyses into data to inform the usability of that data
Candidates for this role will benefit from experience with:
- Data Cleaning and Manipulation
- Data Analysis
- The creative use of data to inform decision-making
- The use of software such as Excel, R, SPSS, etc.
We value individuals who can (1) quickly learn and apply new concepts and skills, (2) bring a critical eye to the way we use and process data, and (3) increase overall team effectiveness through knowledge-sharing. We prioritize fundamental knowledge of data analysis and management over knowledge of software, but we highly value candidates with both. We are also interested in individuals we can engage in long-term development over multiple years.
