Pediatric Clinical Psychologist (Full Time) - Johnston, IA

This is a unique opportunity for a Pediatric Clinical Psychologist who is licensed or license eligible to conduct assessments, offer recommendations for services, and provide treatments as appropriate to children and young adults. 

ChildServe is a physician-led CARF-accredited pediatric specialty healthcare organization that cares for nearly 4,600 children each year. We treat children with developmental disabilities, including those with neurodevelopmental disabilities, behavioral problems, Autism, Down syndrome, and other diagnoses.

 What You’ll Do
  • Appropriately select psychologically based instruments to use in assessments and administer, score and interpret assessments accurately.
  • Communicate assessment results with child, family, and other appropriate parties maintaining the dignity and respect of the child and the family.
  • Develop recommendations consistent with assessment findings, child goals, family goals, and team consensus.
  • Devise and implement appropriate treatment programs, including therapy, counseling or advice, in collaboration with colleagues.
  • Help clients define goals and plan action to achieve personal, social, educational and vocational development and adjustment.

What You’ll Need
  • Doctoral degree in Clinical Psychology.
  • State of Iowa Psychology license or eligible for Provisional Psychology License (Post-Doctoral applicants accepted).
  • Preferred: experience working with developmental and intellectual disabilities preferred.
  • Preferred: experience working with people affected by autism spectrum disorders.
  • Ability to communicate effectively in reading, writing, and speaking the English language.
  • Must be able to independently lift, transfer, or move a minimum of 50 pounds.
