Podcast Production Internship

Over the course of three months, the intern will gain experience in producing a podcast. 

This internship is 100% remote and requires no more than 10 hours a week for three months. This internship is great for individuals who are aspiring to jobs in media production or need to fill in gaps in their resumes for project management. Interested individuals should have audio or video editing experience. Experience with WordPress, Canva and the Google Suite is preferred. Individuals who are critical thinkers, problem solvers and excellent time managers are great candidates.

By the end of this internship, you will have experience in project management, podcast production, and WordPress. 

The intern will need to handle pre and post-production elements of the Writing Gym podcast included but not limited to: 
  • Maintaining production calendar
  • Creating audio production notes based on recorded content and company standards
  • Listening to audio of podcast and noting discrepancies before it goes live
  • Creating web page for podcast
  • Creating social media content on Canva
  • Making podcast pages live on the appropriate date
  • Posting to social media when the episode goes live
  • Organizing the podcast through our management systems: Trello, the manual and Google Drive 

This position reports to and will be trained by the Executive Assistant. 

Skills needed: 
  • Ability to meet deadlines and work independently
  • Ability to project manage many moving pieces
  • Experience with video and audio editing 

Valuable experience:
  • Experience in Canva
  • Experience in WordPress
  • Experience in Google Suite
  • Knowledge of task management applications (Trello)
