Student Production Assistant
UI OSC seeks students interested in obtaining experience with basic elements of audio/video production & live streaming. Video Production Assistants will assist in the care, transport, setup, operation, and troubleshooting of audio/video production equipment.
Students in this position will learn fundamentals of video production to support recording and live streaming of University events such as lectures, concerts, press conferences, commencement ceremonies, etc. Students will often work as part of a team. Work schedules are flexible and event based.
Qualifications:
- Punctual, reliable, and professional
- Clear communication skills
- Able to lift/push equipment (up to 50lbs)
- Detail oriented, and able to reconstruct setups from diagrams
- Ability to work/think under pressure
- Able to work both independently and as part of a team
- Capable of critical thinking/troubleshooting
- Interest in audio/video production
- Responsible for customer relations, adhering to University regulations, and care of equipment & vehicles entrusted to the employee.
- (Desired) Experience operating camera or audio equipment
- (Desired) Able to drive a university vehicle and comply with motor pool requirements
