Manager I
Under the direction of the Community Health Services Manager, the Manager I position performs routine (journey-level) managerial work administering the daily operations and activities of the Community Health Improvement program specialists and PHR-1 public health education teams. Plans, administers, and evaluates a comprehensive public health education program for Public Health Region I. Work involves establishing program goals and objectives for public health education and developing schedules, priorities, and standards for achieving established program goals. Develops program guidelines, procedures, and policies for public health education.
Coordinates public health education program activities across all programs in PHR-1. Provides training and technical assistance on health education in the public health program area. Oversees and/or prepares program management and productivity reports on health education activities for program area. Develops and implements techniques for evaluating program’s activities, strategies implemented, and outcomes. May prepare and conduct seminars and presentations about assigned program area(s) for citizens, clients, staff, management, or elected officials. Collaborates and assists with education and awareness of COVID-19, strategies to reduce transmission, promotes, and participates in related PHR-1 initiatives or projects.
