Fall 2022 Editorial Internship

Today, 2aDays is the leading company in college coach ratings. Our full database of coach ratings and reviews provide first-hand experiences from current and former student-athletes. By using our online tools, student-athletes and parents will be empowered through education to start their recruiting process.
2aDays is seeking fully remote interns to join our Editorial Team for 5 weeks during the Fall 2022 Semester. As an intern, you will be pitching and writing articles about college athletics, the recruiting process, and college sports news to be published on our website. You will be working closely with our editorial lead, receive support and mentorship to meet professional goals, accelerate your learning and hone your writing and interviewing skills.
In this fully remote position, we will provide you access to our remote-based team for the duration of your internship. All communication will take place via our Slack workspace and Google Drive. You do not need prior experience with Slack or Google Drive.
Check with your school's Internship Coordinator BEFORE accepting the hiring offer to determine if this position satisfies the criteria for receiving academic credit.
Internship Information
Application Deadline: October 11th, 2022
Internship Dates: October 17th, 2022 to November 21st, 2022
Compensation: Unpaid, 1-2 credit hours (potential to be a paid freelance writer for 2aDays after the completion of the internship)
Hours: 6-15 hours/week
Where: Fully remote
What You’ll Do
- Interns will pitch and write 3-5 articles a week for 2aDays.com
- Articles will be focused on various topics relating to college athletics and the college recruiting process
- Article length can range from 150-1000 words
- Conduct outreach and secure interviews with current and former college athletes, coaches, and college athletic staff
- Conduct research related to list rankings, recipes, and athletic gear
- Intern will be involved in various aspects of article creation and production, including research, reporting, writing, and editing
- Work closely with our Editorial Lead
Required Skills and Experience
- Journalism, Sports Journalism, English Major AND/OR previous journalism experience
- Strong written and oral communication skills
- Strong time-management skills and ability to meet deadlines
- Eligible candidates are current college students, preferably a student athlete or heavily involved in college athletics
