Stanley Campus Council Intern
The Stanley Museum of Art is seeking a Stanley Campus Council Intern to support the development and implementation of student-focused programs at the Stanley Museum of Art.
This intern will work closely with the Learning & Engagement team, as well as with the Stanley Campus Council, the Stanley’s student advisory group, to help foster the growth of a diverse student audience at the Stanley and support Stanley Campus Council events.
Key Responsibilities
- Research student engagement initiatives at comparable university art museums
- Work on a campus outreach plan to help build awareness of the museum on campus
- Initiate partnerships/collaborations with student groups and organizations
- Propose and develop a program or resource based on personal interests
- Support the Assistant Curator of Student Engagement and the Campus Engagement Coordinator in leading the Stanley Campus Council. This may involve designing promotions and graphics, contributing to/updating social media, and/or event setup/teardown
- General administrative support of Stanley programs as needed
- Other related tasks as assigned
Compensation and Hours
- Compensation: $10.50/hour
- Hours: 10 hours per week. Shifts are flexible depending on your schedule and the events calendar. Availability on Thursday evenings (5 – 8 pm) strongly preferred.
- Position immediately available and eligible to continue through ’22-23 academic year.

- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to work both independently and in a group setting
- Dependable, organized, and able to prioritize
- Demonstrated community or campus involvement
- Interest in art/ art history, museum studies, event planning, or non-profit work preferred but not required
