Surge Response Epidemiologist - Epidemiologist Intermediate

This epidemiologist intermediate position exists within the Vaccine Preventable Disease (VPD) Surveillance Unit to help coordinate statewide surveillance activities for vaccine-preventable diseases, focusing on Monkeypox surveillance as well as surge response capacity for other vaccine preventable diseases, including but not limited to measles, mumps, pertussis, varicella, and polio. Responsibilities include: Collaborating with the immunization program around monkeypox prevention efforts Collaborating with other surveillance colleagues on monkeypox data analysis Collaborating with other unit subject matter experts and agency partners in planning, coordinating and implementing monkeypox and other VPD investigation and control measures Performing case investigations for a variety of VPDs; providing epidemiologic consultation for health care providers, local public health agencies, schools, daycares, and the general public Advising monkeypox community outreach teams; developing and disseminating information and standard recommendations regarding the epidemiology, prevention and control of vaccine-preventable diseases
