Healthcare Performance Engineer
The Healthcare Performance Engineer position provides consultation on internal business operations to support strategic leadership planning and decision making. The position works to solve operational inefficiencies and improve levels of quality, service, and productivity. The role requires following process engineering methodologies to assess and manage complex projects throughout the Medical Center. The role will primarily work on process analysis and workflow re-design using quantitative statistical techniques/tools, forecasting, financial analysis, Lean & 6-Sigma methodologies, workload and schedule optimization, and queuing theory/simulation modeling.
The Healthcare Performance Engineer works closely with fellow engineers, stakeholders and managers to support program-level projects with the objective to improve patient experience, decrease inefficiencies, and cost avoidance. The role will assist with new and/or revised initiatives, processes, and projects in order to achieve the vision of leadership and Montefiore’s goal of an integrated delivery care system. Projects include process analysis/improvement, business planning & strategic development, project management, executive stakeholder management, process redesign, and data analysis/visualization.
