Project Manager Intern

MAJOR PURPOSE:
The position will learn basics of project management within an implementation company. Alli information below will be trained and reviewed with intern.

The Project Manager/Admin Intern manages key client projects. Project management responsibilities include the coordination and completion of projects on time within budget and within scope. Oversee all aspects of projects. Set deadlines, assign responsibilities, and monitor and summarize progress of project. Prepare reports for upper management regarding status of project.
 
The candidate will work directly with VP Managing Director and Director of Operations and learn to ensure deliverables are fully delegated based upon team member’s strengths, skill sets and experience levels. They will track project performance, specifically to analyze the successful completion of short- and long-term goals and ensure the project remains within budgetary objectives and timelines. He or she will coordinate with other departments to ensure all aspects of each project are compatible.
 
This internship will train a wide degree of creativity and latitude is expected leveraging concepts, practices, and procedures.
 
 
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS/Responsibilities:
1.     Follow general consulting guidelines
a.     Communicate with Leadership in a timely and professional manner
b.     Maintain project documentation and provide frequent updates to the Leadership Team
c.     Be informed and aware of project scope, milestones, and deadlines.
d.     Ensure maximum effectiveness
e.     Ensure contracts are sent in a timely manner (follow up as well)
2.     Participate in implementation projects for PAS:
a.     Be knowledgeable of customer requirements as provided in design
b.     Provide documentation to include, but not limited to: Checklists, SOPs, Documentation
c.     Support the Leadership on projects for maximum efficiency and billable utilization
 
Will be trained to:
·       Coordinate internal resources and third parties for execution of projects
·       Ensure that all projects are delivered on-time, within scope and within budget
·       Manage Resource Schedule and communicate weekly expectations with consultants
·       Ensure resource availability and allocation
·       Utilize project plan to monitor and track progress (enhance current process)
·       Manage changes to the project scope, project schedule and project costs using appropriate verification technique
