Category & Omnichannel Research Summer Intern

As part of the Consumer Research team within the Customer Office, you’ll gain insight into how we analyze customer feedback from various interactions and synthesize those data points to usable insights that will influence teams across the Best Buy organization to continually improve and differentiate experiences for customers.
 
The Category and Omnichannel Research Summer intern on the Consumer Research team will provide support to the Insights team. Responsibilities will include: 
 
·       Support consumer research on the experience customers have at different types of Best Buy stores
·       Leverage different, unique forms of feedback and research to build out insights. You will use both qualitative and quantitative techniques to learn about customer expectations, needs, experiences, etc. 
·       Utilize communication and storytelling skills to share out insights across the organization to stakeholders at many different levels of leadership
 
This internship will be available June to August 2023. It is a hybrid role, meaning you must be located within a drivable distance to our corporate office in Richfield, Minnesota. You will be asked to come into the office 2-3 days per week. 
 
What you’ll do 
·       Lead small projects aimed at growing and maturing our engagement experiences and / or capabilities.   
·       Contribute to larger project work within retail, marketing, communications, and / or digital.   
·       Synthesize customer insights, and business analytics.   
·       Conduct and present competitive, customer, and industry analysis. 
·       Partner with analytics to create and manage business performance scorecards.   
 
Basic Qualifications 
·       Pursuing a bootcamp, certificate, bachelor’s or associate degree from an accredited college/university, graduating between Fall 2023 and Spring 2026 
·       Must be pursuing a bachelor’s degree or associate’s degree from an accredited college or university, graduating between fall 2022 and spring 2025 
·       Must be eligible to work in the U.S. without company sponsorship, now or in the future, for employment-based work authorization (F-1 students with practical training and candidates requiring H-1Bs, TNs, etc., will not be considered) 
 
Preferred Qualifications 
·       Strong written and verbal communication skills
·       Strong project management skills
·       Ability to meet tight deadlines
·       Curious, open-minded approach to work
