Operations Intern

Internship Description:
National Safety Apparel, located in Chicago, IL is looking for students pursuing degrees in Business Administration, Management, or Communications with an interest in learning end to end operations driven through process and procedure. This internship is providing a unique opportunity in participating in cross-functional job rotations in various areas of the operations with a major project for our operation. 

Housing is not offered at the moment!

Responsibilities:
  • This position will rotate through temporary assignments to gain a wide range of understanding of Chicago Operations with special projects identified by Operations Leadership
  • The day-to day duties will be to assist in analyzing production, inventory requirements, and quality control
  • Engage and lead assign projects to support tram, department, and plant initiatives of rapid continuous improvement
  • Assist in implementing new systems and processes that track and optimize production
  • Collaborate on planning workflow, space requirements and equipment layout to improve process efficiency

Experience/Qualifications:
  • Currently pursuing a bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Management, or Communications or other related degrees
  • Willingness to learn in a fast-paced, high-performing work environment
  • Ability to perform all duties required in both office and manufacturing environments
  • Cross-cultural experience is a plus

  • Physical demands are minimal beyond the ability to spend time on your feet on a plant floor, as well as being able to occasionally lift 30lbs
