Paid Internship - Sales and Marketing Internship

1st Place Spiritwear, the nation's fastest-growing spirit wear company is looking for interns to help grow their high school sports division. Candidates must be interested in getting into sales and willing to make sales calls to coaches and athletic directors. No experience is needed other than a great personality and bulldog mentality. We have a winning formula. We will teach you to make connections to coaches and athletic directors. This is the perfect opportunity for someone who wants to get into sales and build their resume. We will pay $16 per hour and commissions that could exceed $20. We are looking for determined, hard-working people who want to be on a championship team.

What you Will Learn
  • Develop an understanding of our company and establish connections with clients across the country
  • Learn different sales tactics, research potential clients, and apply knowledge learned through the classroom to achieve success
  • Effectively communicate our program’s model and benefits to Athletic Coordinators, coaches, and more to achieve success
  • Utilize knowledge of 1st Place Spiritwear to overcome objectives, engage clients through cold-calling to advance in a career in sales
  • The ability to learn and grow within our company and develop professional relationships with our employees

Day-to-Day Functions
  • Participate in paid training with mock call sessions, mastering sales techniques, and learning our program
  • Introduce our program through cold-calling and other applications
  • Build client relationships and connections by communicating 1st Place Spiritwear to the high school industry
  • Contribute to the growth of the company by generating new leads through conducting research within certain sales regions
  • Learn exceptional customer service skills to ensure satisfaction for clients
  • Develop technical skills through applications such as salesforce and more

Metrics
  • 25-50 cold calls per day
  • 5 meaningful conversations per day
  • 1 scheduled call per day along with 1 conference call completed with lead sales rep
  • Minimum of 1 company sales meeting per week

Who we are Looking for
  • College-level students studying sales, marketing, communications or business-related field
  • Preferred sports background but not absolutely necessary
  • Excellent organization, communication, and listening skills
  • Ability to make cold calls, ability to handle rejection, and is not afraid to fail
  • A work ethic second to none (Our motto is…” Work so hard today you get invited back tomorrow”)
  • Energetic individual who is coachable and determined to succeed
