About the position:
The Clinical Recruitment Intern will work to provide support to our clinical recruitment department. The goal of the department is to recruit clinicians, clinics, and hospitals to precept our visiting students. The department is the primary contact for new host sites and physicians through lead generation all the way to contracting & onboarding. This individual will support the department to optimize functionality and output through proactive document coordination and engagement with potential preceptors and hospitals that will allow the Clinical Recruitment team to meet and exceed Key Performance Indicators (KPIs). 

While this position can be fully remote, we are looking for candidates to be residents of Illinois.

Essential Functions:
  • Build strong relationships with potential preceptors and be able to “sell precepting with AMO” to help get meetings scheduled for the department  
  • Learn the “voice” of the recruitment team so all correspondence is at a consistent and professional level with other members of the team 
  • Assist the clinical recruitment team in finding contacts & required paperwork needed to get AMO students credentialed at hospitals, surgery centers, etc. 
  • Develop a strong understanding of recruitment challenges and demonstrate a positive, proactive, solution-based approach to resolving challenges 
  • Build and maintain strong working relationships with all AMO team members 
  • Develop and maintain a knowledge base of evolving products and services 
  • Deliver best-in-class customer service across multiple platforms (phone, email, and text) 
  • Other duties as assigned

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office; including Word, Excel, and Outlook 

Education and Experience:
  • Pursuing or completed a bachelor’s degree in a related field 
  • Previous customer service experience 
  • Experience managing multiple tasks 
  • Experience with CRM or other email management systems 
  • Experience working in a fast-paced startup culture 
  • Experience communicating with doctors in a professional setting preferred
