Associate Chemist

The Center for Biocatalysis and Bioprocessing (CBB) at the University of Iowa is seeking to add an Associate Chemist to its dedicated professional staff. The CBB welcomes the richness of talent from a diverse workforce and recognizes that diversity brings stimulation, challenge, and energy that contribute to a productive and effective workplace. Reporting to the Director of Quality Assurance, the new hire will perform a variety of analytical tasks associated with the pilot scale manufacturing of proteins. The new hire is also expected to assume responsibilities for developing and executing new standard operating procedures (SOP’s) required for operation and maintenance of analytical instruments and their measurements. The CBB is a contract and development manufacturing organization, as in the work is as ordered by our clients.
