
Schedule Planner
Job title : Schedule Planner I (1st shift)
Client : Heavy machine Manufacturing Company
Duration : 12 months with possible extension
Location : Waterloo, IA, 50703
Shift : 1st shift (7:00 am to 3:30 pm),
Description:
· Plans and schedules simple (fewer capacity constraints, fewer work centers, fewer process, lower change over complexity) manufacturing processes of all current production and service parts. Schedules requirements for material with regard to the Company Production System including Kanban's/triggers, delivery and achievement of the production schedule.
· May develop line sequencing of options. May provide work direction. Duties: Schedules production parts. Schedules service parts. Expedites production and purchased parts.
· Coordinates needed parts from other departments. Coordinates and communicates the implementation of engineering and material changes.
· Assists the production department in manpower planning. Performs general administrative duties as needed to meet administrative support needs.
· Assists in coordinating the department's inventory integrity and accuracy, including production and scrap reporting.
· Drives continuous improvement in terms of performance and lowest total cost with the Supply Base utilizing Achieving Excellence process and criteria.
· Defines, resolves, and provides permanent solutions to supplier performance issues with the assistance of other functional representatives such as quality, product engineering, etc., while managing the day-to-day supplier relationship issues, thereby assuring proper communication occurs. Expedites parts as necessary.
· Position is for 1st shift (7:00 am to 3:30 pm) with limited overtime as needed.
· This position is eligible for incremental, progressive retention bonuses at every 90 days for the first year on assignment. Retention bonuses are forfeited for those who do not complete their assignments or end assignments early.
Requirements:
· Past manufacturing experience is a plus.
· Prefer to see candidates with 4 year degree in Business.
· Candidates must be willing to learn and work hard - job is trainable.
· Will need metatarsals for first day.
· Position may drive Company owned Gator on shop floor after completing training.
