IT Technician

We are looking for an IT Technician to install various IT equipment and networks aiming to support our commercial clients

You should have a thorough knowledge of computer software and hardware and a variety of internet applicationsŁ« networks and operating systems. We also expect you to have great troubleshooting abilities and attention to detail.

We are a local business that contracts out to various companies for daily & weekly jobs for things such as network equipment installation, retail POS, wire runs, PC hardware installation & various other IT related work.

This is contract work, allowing you to accept or decline jobs at your own free will. That means you need to have a vehicle, some basic hand tools, a good WINDOWS laptop, a smartphone with a good camera & data connection and, some extra money to be able to pay for your gas and minor supplies for certain jobs while being re-imbursed within a month. We can provide any tool or supplies you need if you absolutely can't afford it, but please be aware that doing so starts to get into a gray area with the IRS in regards to being a contract worker so please understand and do your best to be responsible.

You are expected to be able to perform the job with no training, however, you will always have access to our helpdesk & typically have instructions and be guided through installations. As such, this role is perfect for someone looking at a career in information technology or computer science/security.

This is a 1 person company and the owner currently operates everything themselves, you will be expected to understand that and be able to be flexible and creative given your school schedule. The owner is currently looking to delegate various installation responsibilities to the right person.
