IT Desktop Intern

How you will make contributions that matter...

  • Assist in setting up and configuring desktop systems for employees. 
  • Install, upgrade and troubleshoot software applications, operating systems, and driver.  
  • Troubleshooting problems and managing technical requests via the ticketing system.  
  • Provide technical support to end-users via phone, ticketing system, email, or in-person.  
  • Diagnose hardware and software issues and resolve them in a timely manner.  
  • Coordinate with IT for hardware repairs and replacements. 
  • Assist in managing and maintaining IT inventory for desktop systems.  
  • Collaborate with the IT team to develop and implement desktop related projects and initiatives.  
  • Assist in crating and updating user documentation and training materials.  
  • Monitor and respond to help desk tickets, ensuring timely resolution of user issues.  
  • Other general IT and coordination as assigned. 

 

You are best suited for the role if you…

  • Pursuing a bachelor or Master degree in Information Technology, or a related field. 
  • A+ certification preferred. 
  • Windows Operating System proficiency, with command line and registry knowledge. 
  • Are self-motivated, possess good organizational skills, are detail-oriented, prioritize accuracy, can multi-task and meet deadlines. 
  • Experience with hardware such as SSD, GPU and BIOS. 
  • Experience with word processing, spreadsheets, and presentation software 
  • Have the ability to be flexible and work on multiple projects simultaneously. 
  • Have the ability to work scheduled hours and required overtime as needed. 
  • Demonstrate professionalism and positively represents and promotes Saputo at all times.
