Job Purpose

The Analyst will be responsible for the development and production of Asset Lifing and Valuation projects under the supervision of the Senior Manager. The analyst will be responsible for on-site information gathering, analysis of building and hospital equipment assets, and the development of Excel files and written reports. The analyst will be required to work with client representatives to ascertain key data points associated with an asset’s description, its current utilization, and its planned obsolescence.

  • Efficient development of Asset Lifing engagement tasks
  • Must be able to communicate results of analysis verbally and through the use of Excel and Word files
  • Self-motivated to complete tasks efficiently and accurately
  • Must be able to identify and describe hospital assets
  • Must be able to reconcile and maintain accurate records of work generated

Essential Duties

Asset Lifing Production

  • Develop cost-saving assessments for potential clients.
  • Visit client locations to describe accurately the assets associated with a valuation study.
  • Work with PV in a team environment to complete various tasks of lifing/valuation study.
  • Communicate with client representatives to acquire knowledge about a facility’s overall construction.
  • Communicate with client representatives to ascertain utilization and planned obsolescence of hospital equipment assets.
  • Prepare Excel documentation of on-site inventory.
  • Prepare and deliver in-house presentations for work product developed.
  • Maintain strong awareness of firm services, industry trends, and relevant regulations.
  • Identify and pursue opportunities to upsell and/or cross-sell other firm services.
  • Respond to client-related inquiries, issues, concerns and requests, and collaborate with practice leaders and executives as appropriate.
  • Review ongoing performance results against targets and offer input on how to improve overall efficiency and accuracy while performing tasks.

Valuation Consulting

  • Perform a variety of engagements which may include, but not be limited to: asset lifing, replacement costs, fair values and liquidation values of machinery and equipment assets for healthcare facilities.
  • Communicate regulatory, financial, and complex strategic issues in a clear, concise, and relevant manner.
  • Manage client relationships and ensure the quality of client deliverables meets or exceed expectations.

Product Development

  • Offer input to increase overall efficiency of product development where appropriate.
  • Assist with the development of advanced (including AI and or Web Based) methods of producing Asset Lifing and Revision services as knowledgeable.

Other

  • Comply with Principle Valuation policies, procedures, and guidelines.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by the Senior Manager.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Finance, Accounting, Engineering or related discipline.
  • Minimum 0-4 years of consulting experience, preferably within the healthcare sector.
  • Must be willing to travel up to 30%
  • Proven ability to communicate and work within a team or in a collaborative manner
  • Knowledge of healthcare fixed assets, building construction, fixed asset management; including accounting, reimbursement, or capital budgeting process for hospital systems desired, but not required.
  • Excellent business acumen with strong interpersonal and written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Proficiency in MS Office, including Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
  • Working knowledge of AI tools and/or Web-based applications is a plus.
