HR Leadership Development Program

Who we are looking for:

We are currently looking for a Human Resource Leadership Professional to be based out of Harvey, IL. Reporting to the Sr. Director of Human Resources, this person will be responsible for leading HR projects during a 2-year rotational program.

Through this rotational program you’ll travel to any of our US based locations. 

What you’ll do:  

  • Gain an understanding of all HR areas through project-based assignments
  • Work across our business units with different levels of the organization
  • Your rotations will build your HR capabilities and business acumen while providing breakthrough results

What you’ll bring:

  • Graduating Spring of 2024 with Bachelor’s/Master’s Degree in Business, Human Resources, or a related field
  • Experience in business or HR related internship
  • Desire to pursue an HR related career
  • Willingness to relocate to one of our U.S. locations twice in two years

Within 6 Months, You’ll:

  • Complete your new hire “Immersion” so that you are ready to rock in your new role and have embraced Atkore’s culture and business system.
  • Gain a knowledge of applicant tracking systems, recruiting strategies, market mapping, and pipeline creation
  • Lead value add projects that support the growth of the business.

Within 12 Months, You’ll:

  • Partner with business leaders to understand their needs and develop action plans and strategies
  • Manage a requisition load of 10-15 positions
  • Partake in mid and end year report outs to senior and executive level leadership from the first year rotation.
  • Complete first rotation and transition into second rotation within the program

Within 24 Months, You’ll:

  • Be a Human Resources Business Partner to either an Operations or Corporate client group
  • Handle all aspects of Human Resources, including but not limited to recruiting, employee relations, compensation and benefits, and performance management
  • Partake in mid- and end-year report outs to senior and executive level leadership on projects completed during second rotation.
  • Be aligned on a promotable opportunity within a specific career track. Examples of career tracks are operations leadership, product management, technical sales, and process engineering.

After 24 Months, You’ll:

  • Take on a full-time position within the company with a streamlined path to leadership.
  • Act as an Alumni advisor to first- and second-year individuals in the program.
