Office Support Staff: UI REACH

OFFICE SUPPORT STAFF: UI REACH

BASIC FUNCTION AND RESPONSIBILITY:

Provide positive/professional customer centered service and administrative support to our UI REACH team through a variety of experiences in an academic office environment.

 

CHARACTERISTIC DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Respond and provide a positive and professional service approach while working with a diverse population of students, families, internal and external UI REACH team members, and program/community partners.
  • Serve as a resource, communicating to inquiries via email and on occasion phone and face-to-face contact.
  • Respond to office emails daily using stationery email messages.
  • Assist staff in updates to social media.
  • Collect, compile, and enter data into a database – requires attention to detail for accuracy.
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office 365 software including Word, and Excel, (working knowledge of social media, Database, PowerPoint, and Publisher is desired).
  • Assist with office routine and seasonal projects.
  • Assist in on-the-job training of other student employees as needed.
  • Scheduled shifts between the hours of 8:30 am-5 pm, M- F, flexible by day and student schedule.
  • On occasion, work a few hours during the summer and UI Breaks in Fall and Spring semesters.
  • Assist during UI REACH convocation, summer orientation and fall family weekend as needed.

DESIRED EXPERIENCE 

  • Experience or familiarity with disabilities.
  • Previous office or customer service experience desired but not required.
