E-Commerce Sales & Marketing Intern

Job Summary

The E-Commerce Sales & Marketing Intern is responsible for assisting with Merrill’s goals to increase E-Commerce sales, build additional sales channels, streamline sales processes, and increase Marketing’s return on investment.  The E-Commerce Sales & Marketing Intern will also work closely with IT and Operations to implement improved sales order process.  In addition, the intern is given the opportunity to apply skills and gain an understanding of the Merrill organization.  They will provide sales and marketing support and gather Merrill business data to better understand how to strategically execute on business goals. 

 

Work Responsibilities & Duties

  • Setup and position products in multiple e-commerce platforms 
  • Utilize Marketing Automation tools to help drive sales and customer experience 
  • Coordinate with Operations & IT to facilitate best practices to scale business 
  • Measuring customer satisfaction with products and support 
  • Collecting and analyzing data to improve functionality performance and design while identify trends
  • Perform other duties as assigned per direct supervisor

Qualifications and Education Requirements

  • Must be a sophomore or higher pursuing a bachelor’s degree in a Marketing or related field 

 

Preferred Skills and Expectations

  • Knowledge of marketing strategies, including continuing education of new marketing tactics and tools 
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills  
  • Proficiency with word processing, spreadsheet, and presentation software 
  • Familiarity with consumer psychology and buying behaviors
  • Ability to quickly learn and process information 
  • Organization and time management skills 
  • Able to communicate with his/her manager about ideas and ways to improve 

 

Additional Notes 

Equipment provided 

Must have the right to legally work in the United States 

Ability to manage one's own travel within Storm Lake, housing provided if needed
