Human Resources Internship

Summary: 


Come and learn the processes that support an organization and the Human Resources Team! Our excellent HR Team will give you a realistic perspective of how Human Resources is a service partner to the organization. This individual will have the opportunity to shadow each division within the team (generalist, benefits, talent acquisition, recruiting/staffing, employee relations, and administrative duties). This individual will serve as an assistant.  
 

The Front Desk/Human Resources Assistant(intern) primarily oversees the front desk and provides administrative support to the Human Resources Department with various functions. *Please note that this is a paid internship.


Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Include the following. Other duties may be assigned to meet business needs.

Front Desk

• Answer all incoming phone calls. 
• Welcome visitors and ensure sign-in procedures and direct them to their contacts; host scheduled guests in the conference room with cold and warm beverages before the meeting.
• Maintain contractor and visitor sign-in sheets per protocols.
• Ensures conference room and front area is clean, organized, and stocked with proper PPE and beverages; this may include vacuuming and dusting between cleanings.
• Assist executive assistant in ordering/delivering food as needed for recognition, or meetings. 
• Sort/deliver all company mail.
• Open invoices and process with date stamps and vendor numbers. 
• Maintain contractor insurance certificates and training records per protocols.

Human Resources

• Coordinate and execute an attendance recognition program for hourly employees.
• Performs customer service functions by answering employee requests and questions. 
• Assists HR team with various projects.
• Manage all verification requests which includes completion, distribution, and filing.
• Employee Lockers – track terminated, ensure lockers are ready for occupancy.

Experience/Training
High School Diploma and computer literacy, ability to multi-task, and a customer-oriented attitude.
