Public Relations Intern
PUBLIC RELATIONS INTERN
(unpaid; must be eligible to receive college credit)
Essential Broadcast Media, LLC is a full-service public relations firm located in Nashville, Tennessee. With over 35 years of combined industry experience, the EB Media PR team creates and executes campaigns across multiple entertainment fields and formats. This internship is a fantastic opportunity for students to gain firsthand experience in a boutique PR firm representing music and other entertainment clients at the top of their field.
Interns should be skilled at: attention to detail, strong organizational tendencies, interpersonal communication skills and working in a fast-paced environment. Candidates should be pursuing a degree in Public Relations, Marketing, Mass Communication, Journalism, Music Business or a related field and should have relevant prior experience.
Responsibilities include (but are not limited to):
- Creating client assets such as talking points
- Compiling press invite or pitch lists using Muck Rack or similar programs
- Searching for client coverage using Critical Mention or other similar programs and creating press clippings and/or reports for such coverage
- Maintaining the organization and accuracy of client Dropbox folders and website pages with most updated assets
