Sales Internship Program

Job Summary:

The Sales Internship program is an opportunity for a student to develop the skills and gain experience to establish new business relationships and maintaining current ones. The Sales Intern will use their knowledge to create business awareness and understand company goals to enhance its overall image and presence in the market.

*Essential Functions and Responsibilities: 

  • Learn the culture and internal systems of Alarm Detection Systems.
  • Training that will focus on:
  1. Product Training 
  2. Cold-Calling
  3. Warm-Calling
  4. Appointment Setting 
  5. Shadowing Sales Representatives on customer appointments and consultations
  6. Administrative Training
  7. Sales Planning
  • Ride along with Installation, Service, and Fire Testing to gain industry context and knowledge
  • Complete Honeywell technical and sales courses
  • Complete sales workbook activities
  • Observe Central Station monitoring center to understand service offerings
  • Understand the basics of sales contracts, policies, and procedures
  • Create sales lists using Google Maps and CRM
  • Cold and warm call prospects, former and existing customers to set appointments for outside sales representatives
  • Provide support to outside sales representatives with customer follow ups
  • Provide support to Sales Training Manager on training materials for new sales representatives
  • Responsible for onsite duties as assigned
  • Must be punctual and adhere to attendance standards 
  • Other duties as assigned by management
  • Adhere to all company policies and procedures

Education/Experience:

  • In the process of obtaining a bachelor’s degree in business administration, marketing or other related business degree
  • Retail, customer service, or other related work experience is a plus

Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:

  • Must be able to effectively convey ideas, images, and goals to a diverse group of personalities
  • Must be able to prospect effectively and close sales
  • Motivated, enthusiastic, driven
  • Good time management skills are required
  • Professional appearance and demeanor 
  • Microsoft Office skills
  • Customer service skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to communicate in English, Bi-lingual capabilities a plus 

Licenses/Certifications:

  • Clear and valid driver’s license is required
