HR Intern


POSITION SUMMARY:

This Human Resource (HR) intern will gain experience and be exposed to the organization through activities, projects, and reporting. This HR Intern will be provided hands-on training and mentorship throughout the duration of the internship. This role will have the opportunity to assist a variety of areas within the Human Resource arena and exposed to Fortune 500 company policies and processes. Position available in Garner, Iowa.

 

ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITS:

Assist with recruitment functions, including job descriptions, postings, screening candidates and file retention.

Exposed to a variety of HR projects and initiatives, including team member engagement, onboarding new hires, training and development items, leave administration, and documenting business processes.

Support social media posting development, employee engagement events, and open interviews.

Prepare a variety of information, including regular audits, report compilation and general data analysis.

Other tasks and projects as required.

 

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

  • Student working towards a bachelor's degree in human resources, organizational behavior, or other related business field.
  • Ability to handle sensitive information with strict confidentiality.
  • Team player & ability to collaborate.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
  • Excellent administrative, time management and organizational skills.
  • Attention to detail and ability to follow instructions, processes an procedures.

 

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Effective verbal and written communication skills.
  • Experience in extracurricular activities outside of academic requirements.
  • Previous internship experience or work-related experience.
