Licensing Intern

The ACG Internship Program aims to provide a rich, relevant, and rewarding experience for college students. The goal of the program is to provide interns the opportunity to connect, network, and grow as they work on department-specific projects and is designed to enhance the skills and abilities of young professionals as well as to identify and attract future talent for our organization. 

In this position with the AAA ACG Licensing team you will:

  • Learn different facets of insurance, travel, and membership industry-related Licensing tasks and processes 
  • Participate in the reformation and alignment of various licensing workstreams throughout the organization into a cohesive and consolidated process

A DAY IN THE LIFE of a Licensing Intern

ACG is seeking a motivated student to join our team as a Licensing Intern who will work with an experienced team managing a multitude of licensing activities in 14 states and several lines of business throughout the organization.

  • Utilize RegEd to administer the licensing life cycle
  • Produce onboarding activities for all agent channels to include analyzing licensing reports, authorizing candidates, review and submission of insurance applications and appointments
  • Provide support to meet objectives of transformation into OneACG licensing department across the organization
  • Coordinate non-ACG carrier setup, credentialing, and appointments 
  • Act as a liaison to the state licensing bureau and provides input regarding licensing regulations and processes  

In this position, you will have the opportunity to:

  • Expand communication skills and networking reach both internally as well as externally with various licensing bureaus
  • Cross-collaborate and network among the many business lines of ACG
  • Participate in the development of OneACG licensing team projects

WE ARE LOOKING FOR CANDIDATES WHO

Required Qualifications: 

Must have:

  • Must be studying Business Administration, Computer Science, or related field
  • Possess a basic understanding of insurance license requirements
  • Strong interpersonal skills, time management skills, customer service skills, communication skills, organization skills, and strong situational adaptability 
  • Experience with Microsoft Office

Preferred:

  • SILA-A, ARM, ARC or related designation 

Must be:

  • At least a junior and must be fully enrolled in a bachelor's or master's degree program at an accredited college/university, with a minimum 3.0 GPA
  • Legally authorized to work in the U.S

Compensation and Time Commitment 

The Auto Club Group will provide compensation of $19.50/hour for 40 hours/week. The interns will be expected to report during the hours of 8:00am – 4:30pm (ET) Monday through Friday for the duration of the Summer Semester.

Work Environment 

This position is currently able to work remotely from a home office location for day-to-day operations unless occasional travel for meetings, collaborative activities, or team building activities is specified by leadership. This is subject to change based on amendments and/or modifications to the ACG Flex Work policy.
