Job Summary:  Provides top-tier customer service and professional support to internal customers. This includes answering deposit account questions, reviewing legal documents to determine if they meet bank requirements, and re-executing internal bank documentation for error resolution purposes. Audits all deposit account opening documentation for accuracy and fidelity. Takes initiative to improve workflow and research new ideas when necessary. Must have a high degree of knowledge regarding all INTRUST Bank deposit products, related documents, and regulations and keep updated on all government regulations as they pertain to deposit products. Promotes an environment of teamwork within the department and across the bank. Represents INTRUST Bank in all they do in the community and is focused on the development of new business relationships.  Must maintain strict standards of confidentiality and perform duties in a manner supporting INTRUST’s character qualities.

Essential Functions:

• All expectations described in the job description’s essential functions are necessary to be successful in this role, performed with or without a reasonable accommodation. 

• Supports internal and external customer inquiries by responding to phone calls, service events and emails regarding deposit account setups, bank regulations, and policies. 

• Provides assistance with complex customer and account questions to frontline employees, including but not excluded to: review of legal documents, trust ownership and IRAs.  

• Stays well informed of all rules and regulations governing deposit accounts offered at INTRUST Bank including all checking, savings, CD, IRA, HSA, and safe box products. Maintains a working knowledge of tax documents related to these products.    

• Assists with various department functions including, but not limited to new account/maintenance auditing, scanning/processing documents, address corrections/changes, deceased customer processing, daily/weekly/monthly exception reports/processes.

• Interacts with internal and external customers to expediently resolve account/document errors.

• Maintains awareness of regulatory timeframes and reconciles errors in a timely manner to minimize bank risk and/or negative customer impact. 

• Able to work with all internal software programs and product applications to ensure customer support and service levels are met.

• Provides backup assistance as needed on multiple department functions

• Works on various projects as assigned.

Education and Experience:  High school diploma or equivalent, and 2+ year’s related job experience required. Previous banking experience required. Previous deposit operations, customer service, or CD/IRA experience a plus.

Required Skills and Knowledge:  Excellent communication skills and computer experience required. Ability to follow established procedures accurately and efficiently. Must have excellent customer service skills. Ability to manage several high-priority tasks at one time. Must be able to explain problems clearly and interact in a professional/positive manner. Ability to learn and retain guidelines for the following rules and regulations: Reg D, Reg E, and Beneficial Ownership.

Required Licenses and/or Certifications:  None.

Physical Demands:  Extended period(s) of time viewing personal computer, sitting, standing, and walking.  Occasional lifting up to 25 lbs. Must be able to hear and speak clearly both face-to-face and over the phone. Must be able to use hands to key information and handle objects. The physical demands necessary for this role should be performed with or without a reasonable accommodation.
