Who We Are
The mission of Clarke Square Neighborhood Initiative is to create a strong neighborhood with a variety of homes, public spaces, safe streets, landmark places (schools, churches, community centers, parks) and strong business community to create a vibrant, diverse neighborhood. One of the most diverse communities in Milwaukee, Clarke Square is home to César E. Chávez Drive, a commercial strip that draws Milwaukee residents to shop, eat authentic Mexican food, and enjoy the vibrant atmosphere.

What You Will Do
We partner with Brew City Match, a program that supports small businesses and property owners looking to locate or already located in target commercial corridors by helping them to develop business plans, find available spaces, and access financial resources to improve their space and operations. As the Brew City Match Asset Coordinator, you will research and maintain a list of business owners and properties available for sale or lease in the area, develop relationships with local institutions and connect entrepreneurs and corridor organizations with resources they offer, recruit, market, and promote Brew City Match and corridor activities, organize collaborative events that promote small businesses and connect them to the broader community, and coordinate and support community cleaning programs and beautification projects.

What Your Work Environment Will Be
An 11-month position where you will typically serve 40 hours a week, normally Monday through Friday, 9 a.m. to 5 p.m., with occasional evenings and weekends. You will report in person at our office and will be required to travel locally for meetings and community events.
