Physician Assistant Residency - Urgent Care

The Everett Clinic (part of Optum) is opening their 2024 Urgent Care Advanced Practice Clinician residency. We are looking for two, nurse practitioner or physician assistant graduates to join our Urgent Care Residency which runs from September 2024 – September 2025. We plan on conducting phone screens with candidates starting the week of April 29th. 

Our residency offers hands on experience for those interested in an Urgent Care practice. As part of the residency, you will work with a dedicated preceptor 1:1. The residency offers weekly didactics and specialty rotations to further grow your knowledge in specialty care. Our intent is to hire and retain our residents.

Our Walk-In Urgent Cares are staffed by board-certified doctors, nurse practitioners and physician assistants. They see established Everett Clinic patients. We are backed by a network of primary and specialty care doctors. As an Urgent Care provider, you will have access to labs, imaging, and specialty consults.

Our Urgent Care locations are open Monday-Friday from 7 - 7, and Saturday-Sunday from 8-5. As a resident, you will have 36 patient contact hours a week, including some weekend coverage each month.

Required Qualifications:

  • Unrestricted License to practice in Washington State by start date.
  • NP-C by start date

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience working in a fast-paced medical environment such as a hospital, urgent care or as an EMT
  • Desire to work long-term in the acute care setting
  • Desire to stay employed in the role at the completion of residency
