Fire & Life Safety Student Assistant

The University of Iowa Facilities Management-Fire & Life Safety department is seeking a student employee to assist with fire alarm and fire protection deficiency repairs, fire alarm inspections (NFPA 72), monthly fire pump churn test, NFPA 25 testing. Perform and assist with monthly safety inspections of all building to include extinguishers, exit and emergency lights, AED's, building egress paths, combustible storage and recording of testing results. You may be using various tools (ladder, power tools, hand tools, etc.) as well as the use of a iPad.

No previous experience necessary!!

Must be a University of Iowa student. Must have a valid driver’s license and meet University driving standards. Employment is contingent upon successful completion of a criminal background check.
