Office Support Associate

Overview
The College of Education is seeking a candidate for the role of Office Support Associate within the Dean’s office suite.  The suite encompasses the Dean’s Office and the Office of Student Services which serves as a primary and visible office and hub for visitors to the College of Education. As an integral part of the college, individuals in this position will play a crucial role in creating a welcoming environment for visitors.

 

Position Overview

Provide office support to the Dean’s Office and the Office of Student Services in the College of Education. Assist the office suite administrators and staff on projects and tasks as assigned and act as front-line reception.

 

Location 

On site in N201 A Lindquist Center

 

Schedule

We are seeking a student who is able to work a five-hour daily shift in the summer from 12:00 pm to 5:00 pm Monday through Friday. The hours are not negotiable. Daily office coverage is needed between the hours indicated. Shortened hours are also available prior to the end of the spring semester.

Additional hours may be available to cover staff absences and/or if additional work assignments are available. 

 

Start Date

Can begin working on a reduced schedule starting the first week of May.

 

Pay Range

$12.00/hour (starting wage)

 

Responsibilities

  • Greet visitors to the Dean’s Office in a welcoming, professional, and respectful manner.
  • Answer the College of Education main phone line, providing information or referring to the appropriate area or individual.
  • Assist with tasks as assigned by supervisor.

     

Qualifications

  • Experience with computer systems, such as Microsoft Word applications.
  • Demonstrated professionalism, strong communication skills (both written and verbal), and excellent customer service abilities.
  • Ability to work in an environment with confidential information or work with discretion.
