Laboratory Assistant (Work-Study possible)
Duties:
1. In the short term, the top priority is completion of needed laboratory maintenance including washing fruit fly vials and other glassware; cooking fruit fly food; maintaining laboratory fruit fly stocks. 2. In the long-term, the second possibility is research assistance, time permitting. A likely project would involve fruit fly genetics.
Qualifications:
Life sciences or engineering major with biology background and some experience with basic lab safety (e.g. though lab coursework or through prior employment) preferred.
3.5 GPA or higher preferred.
Work Schedule:
Work during regular daytime hours. Flexible part-time schedule. Either work study or part-time. This job would begin in May 2023 and continue for an open period of time.
