Sports Director 

As a Sports Director at Kid Explorer Club Corporation, you'll spearhead a groundbreaking approach to sports programming, blending innovation, excitement, and unparalleled energy to deliver an unforgettable camp experience. Leading a team of counselors, you'll infuse our pre-written curriculum with dynamic court-based and field-based sports activities, igniting a passion for teamwork, competition, and physical fitness in campers aged 5-12.


 

What You'll Do:


Pioneering Program Leadership:

  • Oversee, support, and coach a team of counselors in implementing pre-written curriculum focused on court-based and field-based sports, PE-style games, mental agility challenges, and spirited tournament competitions.

Energizing Engagement:

  • Bring the camp to life with unmatched enthusiasm and dedication, leading morning and afternoon program meetings, and instilling excitement through weekly team competitions and hands-on teaching.

Innovative Content Creation:

  • Act as the content expert on all sports, games, challenges, and tournaments, preparing counselors to execute curriculum effectively and ensuring seamless distribution of materials for upcoming themes.

Nurturing Safety and Development:

  • Foster the emotional, physical, and social development of campers through hands-on exploration, while coaching counselor teams in effective camper management and behavior management strategies.

Proactive Communication:

  • Anticipate and address curricular, facility, or schedule issues proactively, serving as a bridge between camp and parents by communicating campers' successes, celebrations, and growth.

Dedicated Team Membership:

  • Arrive on time, communicate schedule changes promptly, and demonstrate loyalty and consistency as a valued team member, supporting counselors in creating the best possible experience for all campers.

Brand Representation:

  • Act as an enthusiastic ambassador of Kid Explorer Club, embodying the organization's values and mission to families and facility partners through your helpful, hands-on approach.

Resilient Problem-Solving:

  • Practice resilience and arrive with a "How Can I Help?" mentality, prioritizing camper experience and team success through proactive problem-solving and adaptability.

About You:

Qualifications:

  • Must be at least 20 years old with at least 2 years of undergraduate experience or equivalent professional experience.
  • Majors in education and sports management are viewed favorably.

Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to work around small children and participate in dynamic activities for extended periods, including sitting, standing, running, and climbing stairs.
  • Capacity to lift and carry up to 30 pounds occasionally.

Certification:

  • First Aid & CPR Certification, or the ability to complete these prior to May 30, 2024.
