Objectives of This Role:

As an Ice-Skating Coach or Junior Coach at Kid Explorer Club, your primary objective is to contribute to the development and delivery of a comprehensive ice-skating program. You'll play a key role in fostering skill development, promoting physical fitness, and building confidence in children through structured lessons and activities.

Responsibilities:

• Assist in developing and implementing a structured curriculum for the ice-skating program, tailored to participants' age and skill level.
• Lead ice skating lessons, drills, and activities that promote skill development, teamwork, and confidence-building.
• Provide individualized instruction and feedback to participants to help them improve their skating abilities.
• Ensure the safety of all participants by enforcing proper safety protocols and supervising skating sessions.
• Assist in organizing and coordinating special events, performances, and competitions related to the ice-skating program.
• Collaborate with other coaches and staff members to integrate the ice-skating program with other activities and programs.
• Communicate effectively with children, parents, and guardians to provide updates on participants' progress and program activities.
• Assist in maintaining equipment and facilities used for the ice-skating program, ensuring cleanliness and safety at all times.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

• Strong ice-skating skills and experience, with a background in figure skating or competitive skating preferred.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact effectively with children, parents, and fellow coaches.
• Previous experience working with children in a coaching, teaching, or mentoring capacity.
• Knowledge of ice-skating techniques, equipment, and safety procedures.
• Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team and independently when necessary.
• CPR and first aid certification (or willingness to obtain).

Preferred Skills and Qualifications:

• Certification or accreditation in ice skating instruction or coaching.
• Experience coordinating or leading ice-skating programs or events.
• Familiarity with child development principles and teaching methodologies.
