Fine Arts Teacher - Band #7974 (Effective 2024-2025 SCHOOL YEAR)

SUMMARY
Effectively manage the learning environment to prepare lesson plans, instruct students, evaluate and monitor students’ performance in order to advance student achievement. Understand and appreciate diversity.
Work collaboratively with a team to plan instruction. Demonstrate commitment to continuous learning.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
Arizona Elementary Certificate with (Music) Approved Area OR (Music) K-12 Endorsement
OR
Arizona Middle Grades Certificate with (Music) Approved Area OR (Music) K-12 Endorsement
OR
Arizona Secondary Certificate with (Music) Approved Area OR (Music) K-12 Endorsement
OR
Arizona Subject Matter Expert Certificate 6-12 with (Music) Approved Area
OR
Arizona Arts Education - (Music) PreK-12 Certificate
Current Arizona IVP Fingerprint Clearance Card

PREFERRED REQUIREMENTS
Demonstrated success in engaging African American and Latino students
Bilingual (Spanish) endorsement

ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS AFTER HIRE
Proof of immunity to rubeola (measles) and rubella (German measles), or proof of MMR immunization.

Effective: 2024-2025 SCHOOL YEAR

LOCATION: This positin will work with multiple sites:

Dietz K-8 - 22nd St & Kolb Area

Dunham Elementary School - 22nd St & Harrison Area

Bonillas Basic Curriculum Magnet School - 17th St & Swan Area

Ford Elementary School - Stella & Pantano Area

Sewell Elementary School - 5th St & Craycroft Area

 

FTE : 1.0 - 7.5 hours per day

Work Calendar: 9.5 month

Positions less than 30 hours per week are not eligible for district benefits.

 

Internal candidates will transfer at a rate commensurate with their bargaining unit language. For more information on salary schedule, please reference the Employee Agreements Webpage.

 

Probationary Contracts will be issued for any contingent Certifications, Positions that are 0.6 FTE or less, and certified employees within their first three years with the District.
