Once trained, the majority of your role will be to independently make ID cards and respond to emails and phone calls. You'll work independently and as part of a team with opportunities for growth as you develop your skillset!

We provide customer service for the University’s ID Card Programs (Iowa One Cards and UI Health Care badges) from the UI Health Care Badge Center in the General Hospital. This requires greeting walk-in customers, taking photos, issuing IDs and troubleshooting issues related to ID cards. Additionally, we respond to various emails sent to the University Billing Office and Iowa One Card office throughout the year. Other duties as assigned. 

Preference will be given to those who have previous office and customer service experience as well as those with two summer availability. ***Must have summer 2024 availability this would May 2024-August 2024***

Advancement Opportunities:

Work Schedule:

Our hours are Monday through Friday, 7:30am to 4:30pm. 

Students Must work a minimum of 12 hours per week during the academic year with the potential of up to 30-35 hours per week during summer and academic breaks. 

Schedules will be set each semester with the same shifts scheduled each week (excluding summer months and academic breaks). We work around your class schedule and encourage students to study during downtime!

At this time we require that you have the ability to work over summer break.***Must have summer 2024 availability this would May 2024-August 2024***

Job Qualifications:

·        Must be able to provide outstanding customer service to students, faculty, and staff.

·        Must be able to speak clearly, confidently, at a moderate pace and with an audible volume both in person and over the phone.

·        Must be able to independently reply to emails, providing correct information and offering additional tips and assistance, as necessary.

·        Must be able to demonstrate excellent attendance and work ethic and be available to work over summer break.

·        Must have the ability to troubleshoot potentially complex issues utilizing university systems and problem solve effectively.

·        Must have the ability to communicate professionally in person, through email, and over the phone.

·        A strong verbal and written command of the English language is essential.

·        Must be willing to assist in the training of new student employees.
