Signage Industries Production Lead

Qualifications:

  • This position will train and direct workers in the production of a variety of aluminum substrates for street, highway, road, trail, building, and park signage products.  This position will become responsible for independently directing the work of Persons in Our Care (PIOC) in the manufacturing and production of new and recycled sign blanks.  
  • This role will develop knowledge in areas such as office administration, customer service, purchasing, quality control, inventory control, and shipping and receiving.  
  • This role will eventually assist with overseeing production and costs; assist with overseeing shop health and safety; assist with overseeing security and tool control; and using Manufacturing Resource Planning (MRP) systems to manage work in the Sign Hydro shop. 

Applicants must possess a valid driver's license and meet State of Wisconsin fleet requirements. Employees will be required to maintain a valid driver's license and eligibility to drive a fleet vehicle.

Will need to be able to lift up to 75 lbs. for movement and delivery of products to customer work or storage sites. 

Minimally qualified applicants will have: 

  • Experience, Education or Training, in at least one supply chain or production skill such as: order picking, inventory management, warehousing, machine operation, or repair.
  • Experience providing internal or external customer service.
  • Experience, Education or Training using software from the Microsoft Office Suite or similar office software (such as: Outlook, Word, Excel, Google Docs, Sheets, Gmail).           

In order to be considered for hire at the Developmental Level, applicants must meet the minimum criteria above and will also have:

  • Experience, Education, or Training using ERP/MRP Software (such as: Oracle, NetSuite, SAP, etc.) OR Experience or as a project lead OR Experience providing training to others.

In order to be considered for hire at the Senior Level, applicants must meet the minimum criteria above, the Developmental Criteria above, and will also have:

  • Creating products in a factory, manufacturing, or fabrication environment 
  • Experience leading or directing the work of other staff members in a role such as: team lead, subject matter expert, mentor, project/shift manager, supervisor, or specialist, etc.
