Attorney Advisory (General)

Duties

  • Provides substantive legal opinions on extremely complex and difficult legal questions and factual issues involved in interpretation and application of law and regulations which require the balancing of conflicting interests.
  • Provides USAJFKSWCS leaders advice and legal services on the full spectrum of federal fiscal and contract law activities. Activities include acquisition planning, contract formation, and contract administration.
  • Incumbent serves as the subject matter expert in civilian personnel law, employment discrimination law and all labor relations matters.
  • Oversees personnel engaged in legal, paralegal, and legal clerical duties.
  • Serves as an expert in general military law and ethics and furnishes advice and prepares legal opinions on a wide variety of matters.
  • Serves as an ethics counselor, as delegated by the authority of the Staff Judge Advocate, and renders opinions based on the Joint Ethics Regulation and other governing ethics laws and regulations.
  • Serves as the (CSRA) Supervisor for a staff of Department of Army Civilians and/or Military employees.
  • Provides guidance and advice to subordinates and renders decisions on specific cases on a continuous basis through spot checks of progress, discussions, review of work and observation of results obtained.
