Intranet Team Student Assistant – UI Health Care Marketing and Communications
Are you interested in how intranets increase content engagement? In this role, you will gain firsthand experience maintaining and improving UI Health Care’s intranet.
The successful candidate will work with the intranet manager and other team members to complete a variety of intranet and communication-related tasks and projects. Duties may include creating site navigation and design, authoring, auditing, and transferring content, monitoring/tracking site analytics and maintaining back-end system performance.
This position requires a high degree of collaboration, creativity, initiative, self-motivation, and desire to produce high quality intranet sites. Candidates must be able to juggle multiple projects while prioritizing deadlines.
Intranet projects require collaboration with various departments, areas, and initiatives that span across all areas of UI Health Care and the Carver College of Medicine. The intranet assistant will collaborate with other members of the intranet team to complete projects that align with the strategic priorities of UI Health Care’s communication efforts.

Preferred Qualifications
- Some experience with content creation and delivery, including intranet content, email, newsletters, videos, and presentations.
- Some experience in internal communications, corporate communications, marketing, or a related field
- Familiarity with University of Iowa Health Care
