Volunteer and In-Kind Associate- N Street Village

The Volunteer and In-Kind Associate is part of the Development team and supports the day-to-day operations of the Volunteer and In-Kind Gifts Department. This role reports to the Volunteer and In-Kind Gifts Coordinator and works closely with the Development Director.

Coordinate with volunteers to ensure that their experience working in our programs is successful for our clients, our program staff, and the volunteers themselves.

Assist program staff in communicating with and working with volunteers within their programs.

Manage the entire life cycle of in-kind donations from solicitation, acceptance, distribution, documenting, to acknowledgment.

Coordinate in-kind drives, including internal program communication and coordination (i.e. coats, holiday gifts, Thanksgiving baskets, day-to-day urgent needs, etc.)

Develop schedule for routine visits to each program to ensure efficient communication, effective support of all in-kind needs, manage distribution of goods, and ensure upkeep of in-kind closets.

Collaborate with Volunteer Coordinator and In-Kind Gifts and create a system to acknowledge and steward in-kind donors and volunteers in a timely fashion.
