Book Sales and Marketing Specialist

Job Title: Sales and Marketing Specialist

Location: Remote

Company: Almost Anything Publications, LLC

About Us: We are a blossoming indie publishing company focused on producing books tailored for school-aged readers, including books written by students for students.

Job Description

We are seeking a dynamic and versatile Sales and Marketing Specialist to join our team. This role requires a multi-faceted individual who can excel in various aspects of sales and marketing, including trade sales, promotional events management, and digital marketing.

Responsibilities

The following are some examples, but I truly need someone who can push the boundaries and do more. Where marketing includes social media, as it mentions below, my publicist will be focusing on that and on podcasts; however, you can help her with that. Marketing leads to sales, and sales leads to profit; you only get paid from gross sales, not an hourly or salary wage.

You will be a business partner, so I need you to do your best to help us to ultimately sale books in the end.

    • Serve as the primary point of contact for assigned accounts, maintaining strong relationships with all key decision-makers and influencers.
    • Identify new business opportunities within existing accounts and new market segments, negotiate contracts and pricing, and monitor sales performance to achieve specific sales targets.
    • Collaborate closely with internal teams to ensure alignment of strategic account initiatives with publishing goals and objectives.
  2. Trade Sales:
    • Develop and execute trade sales strategies to drive revenue growth and market penetration within the retail and wholesale sectors.

    • Monitor campaign performance, track key metrics, and analyze results to optimize campaign effectiveness and ROI.
  4. Promotional Events:
    • Plan, coordinate, and execute promotional events, including book launches, author signings, book readings, panel discussions, book fairs, and other literary events.
