Associate Attorney
Durnell Maier Law, a small Elder Law, Estate Planning and Probate Firm in Sidney, Ohio, is looking for a full-time Associate Attorney. The chosen candidate for this position will receive on the job training and development in drafting Estate Planning documents, completing Medicaid and VA Applications, assisting with Trust Administrations and drafting Probate pleadings. They will conduct meetings with clients and provide legal advice related to estate planning, elder law matters and estate administration. The chosen candidate must be a self-starter, with a strong desire to learn, and be someone who is motivated to work independently after proper training. This position will include travel to our Troy and Bellefontaine locations and within the contiguous counties for Nursing Home, Assisted Living and In-Home visits.
Ideal Candidate:
- Juris Doctorate (JD)
- Licensed to practice law in Ohio, or will be sitting for the July 2024 Bar Exam
- Minimum of 0-3 years of experience
- Experience with Rural Communities is a plus, but not a requirement
- Experience with Probate and Trust Administration is a plus, but not a requirement
- Experience with Medicaid and VA Applications is a plus, but not a requirement
Minimum Salary of $65,000, however, this is negotiable commensurate with experience. 401(K) matching, short-term disability, paid vacation/sick days, paid holidays and health insurance reimbursement, if necessary.
