Social Media Intern
Today more than half of Americans feel that news media intends to mislead them. 66% admit to feeling worn out by the news. 4 in 10 report being subject to harassment when discussing politics online. Such a toxic information ecosystem makes it more difficult for society to resolve important social and political problems.
Nuprizm is an early stage social news startup whose mission is to help people navigate our confusing news media ecosystem. We aim to distill the overflow of daily news into accessible, accurate insights, empowering users to quickly understand the broader context of current events.
We are looking for interns to help us with early stage social growth by interacting with potential users and helping to create content for our social accounts on platforms like Instagram, Tik Tok, and others. You will work directly with our Founder and CEO, a multidisciplinary leader eager to help the next generation of entrepreneurs learn how to design, build, sell, and market new products and services. Your goal will be to grow our follower count and encourage downloads of the app.
Here's what we're looking for in applicants:
- Experience using Instagram, Tik Tok, and other social platforms as a creator
- Organized, reliable, and communicative
- Good writers and/or speakers
- Strong familiarity with news media and current events
- Available a minimum of 10 hours per week
As an early stage startup, we have more work than we can handle! Exceptional candidates will be eligible for a stipend at the end of the internship, or even job opportunities.
