PAY AND BENEFITS

Hourly Pay Range: $31.650705-$ 40.105921

Salary offers will be made within the posted pay range and will be based on a candidate's experience (paid or unpaid) that is directly relevant to the position.

Bilingual skills are paid an additional 5% add-to-pay.

JOB DETAILS AND QUALIFICATIONS

Clackamas County's Children, Family and Community Connections (CFCC) Division Early Learning Hub is looking for a bilingual Prenatal- Third Grade Coordinator (Human Services Coordinator 2) to join our team. CFCC promotes wellness and positive outcomes for the children and families of Clackamas County through education, prevention, resolution services and employment services. This position plays a key role in strengthening the early learning workforce. The Coordinator will be an integral member of the Early Learning/Parenting Education Team - working with others to determine and plan program improvements.

This position coordinates Early Learning prenatal to third grade (P3) and Kindergarten Partnership and Innovation (KPI) programming with partners in Clackamas County and identifies opportunities to support professional development for early childhood educators and care providers. This includes holding regular meetings with educators and care providers, supporting conference planning, and coordinating the implementation of practices among early childhood/preschool and Kindergarten - 3rd grade educators.

The Coordinator will work closely with the Early Learning Hub to create strong collaborations with each school district in Clackamas County so that all children arrive ready for kindergarten and beyond. The Coordinator will collaborate with team members to plan and evaluate programming for efficacy as well as grant compliance.

Required Minimum Qualifications/ Transferrable Skills:*

• A minimum of four (4) years of related experience that would provide the required knowledge and skills to perform the responsibilities of this position.
• At least 2 years of experience developing and facilitating partnerships with school districts and other K-12 education partners.
• Bilingual skills (Spanish/English or Russian/English)

Preferred Special Qualifications/ Transferrable Skills:*

• Experience working with young children in educational settings
• Ability to create, use and analyze spreadsheets in a variety of formats (google sheets, excel)
• Experience providing coaching or technical assistance to early childhood educators.

TYPICAL TASKS

• Coordinate Prenatal - Third Grade (P3) and Kindergarten Partnership and Innovation (KPI) activities with team and partners.
• Support capacity building of prenatal-third grade workforce and professional development opportunities.
• Develop and implement work plans for outreach strategies to school districts, educators, and parents.
• Monitor and evaluate program effectiveness by tracking outcomes, resources, & expenditures allocated to P3 and KPI work. Ensure compliance with grant reporting requirements.
• Coordinate activities for kindergarten transition program expansion in all 10 Clackamas County school districts.
• Coordinate events and training opportunities using collaborative strategies to address community needs.

REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS

Working knowledge of:

• The early childhood education system, with an emphasis on kindergarten transition.
• Best practices of collaboration with schools/school districts.
• Needs of families with children prenatal - 3rd grade.
• Program evaluation methods.
• Excel, Google Sheets and Google Forms

Skill to:

• Plan and coordinate Prenatal - Third Grade (P3) and Kindergarten Partnership and Innovation (KPI) activities with team and partners.
• Relate to a wide range of clients, personnel, professional staff and community representatives.
• Establish and maintain effective working relationships with early learning providers (child care, preschool); schools; school districts; teachers.
• Gather and evaluate data.
• Prepare grant reports.
• Operate computer software and other office equipment - Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel), MS Teams, Google Platforms.

WORK SCHEDULE

The work schedule for the position is 37.5 hours per week, Monday through Thursday with some evening and weekend work required for community or family meetings.

Operational need and amount of on-site/telework schedule will be discussed after successful completion of onboarding and training, which will require on-site.
