Accountant

Requirements:

· Bachelor or Masters in Accounting with a minimum 3.8 GPA

We are a rebar fabrication and construction material supplier in Palmetto, FL. We currently have a single location that services both residential and commercial construction projects. We are making a strong shift toward government infrastructure projects, and have plans to triple in size within the next 2 years. 

We have recently undergone an extensive new software implementation that puts us at the forefront of technology in our industry. The software programs we use are aSa Studio Rebar Software (the world’s #1 rebar specific ERP, cloud based) which is integrated with Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central. We utilize Microsoft 365 suite of products for most other office applications and are currently working on API integrations and automated workflows so that one qualified accountant can handle all accounting and finances for the entire company. This position has good upward mobility, and hired candidate will be groomed to become the controller.

We are searching for a detail-oriented person with strong accounting & modern technology skills. Experience in construction, manufacturing, or distribution industries is required.

The right candidate must have excellent communication skills (both written and verbal). This person will oversee and manage Accounting, Bookkeeping, AP, AR, as well as, dealing with banks/bank Covenants, PNC, WC, GL, Auto, DBPR, H.R. and regulatory issues.

Candidate must also have a sense of urgency in completing tasks by the required deadlines.

IMPORTANT: This is a hands-on position. The right Candidate will learn/do all positions within department to learn all SOP’s and help to create more efficient workflows.

Primary Job Responsibilities:

*Manage all aspects of the accounting operation, overseeing all transactions related to general ledger, receivables, payables, payroll and financial reporting.

*Performing the processes for financial forecasting, budgets, the preparation of all financial reporting

*Developing and maintaining all necessary accounting policies and systems, including general ledger and financial reporting, ensuring that records are maintained in accordance with generally accepted accounting principles.

*Manage cash flow and treasury functions.

*Coordinate, prepare and review monthly, quarterly, and annual reporting packages including analyzing financial results with respect to profits, trends, and costs.

*Coordinate and/or prepare tax schedules, returns and information.

*Manage all tax planning and compliance with all required federal, state, local, payroll, property and other applicable taxes.

*Assist with building an accounting department as the company grows.

*Develop and document policies and procedures for key accounting, tax and other matters.

*Other duties as assigned.
