TeamMates Mentor Recruiter and Marketing VISTA

Serve as an AmeriCorps VISTA Member with TeamMates in Des Moines! 

VISTA Members serve for one year with a not-for-profit to make a positive impact while earning a living stipend, an education award, health benefits, relocation benefits (if eligible) and non-competitive eligibility for federal jobs.

The goal of TeamMates is to provide a caring adult friend to students who serves as their school-based mentor from 3-12 grade and beyond. The TeamMates Mentor Recruiter and Marketing VISTA will use their dynamic communication skills to recruit adult mentors for the TeamMates chapters in Iowa. The VISTA will use strategic thinking and planning skills to systematically engage community stakeholders and build strong partnerships with civic organizations and corporations across the state. In addition, the VISTA member will work collaboratively with each TeamMates chapter to assist in marketing efforts. 

The ideal candidate must live in Iowa, preferably in the western portion of the state. This is a virtual position meaning that you will spend your time serving from home, and in the communities you will be supporting.
