Graduate Research Assistant in the Office of Assessment

This graduate research assistantship is for the 2024/25 academic year, up to 50% FTE for each semester.  

The primary responsibilities will be to contribute to analysis of data collected last year through focus groups and interviews with university leaders on the topic of organizational change in higher education.  

• Prepare interview and focus group transcripts for analysis
• Contribute to thematic analysis of interview and focus group transcripts
• Assist with additional interviews/focus groups as needed
• Assist in summarizing and reporting findings

Minimum requirements:  

• Must be a registered graduate student at the University of Iowa
• Experience and/or graduate coursework in qualitative research methodologies
• Strong oral and written communication skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative research team
