Entry Level Contract Specialist

The 774 Enterprise Sourcing Squadron (ESS) at Offutt Air Force Base in Bellevue, Nebraska is looking for entry level Contract Specialists to join our team. 774 ESS has multiple openings where you will be immersed in on-the-job training working alongside experienced Contracting Officers who will train you in every aspect of contract management, including market research, requirements definition, solicitation preparation, price justification, negotiation and award, and administration of contracts across the entire Department of Defense. It takes thousands of civilians working shoulder to shoulder with uniformed military to keep the United States military ready for anything at any time. You will work with the Government’s best and brightest engineers, scientists, and operators to support the Warfighter’s mission with Research & Development solutions from best-in-nation defense contractors. Our Squadron supports exciting, state-of-the-art development of technologies such as hypersonic missiles, unmanned vehicles, artificial intelligence, global synthetic wargaming environments, and more. As a Contract Specialist, you will act as a business advisor to provide on-target advice and customer support that requires business acumen, integrity, critical thinking skills, good communication, and excellent collaboration. 

Salary

Bachelor’s Degree:

1st Year: GS-07 - $49,495

*2nd Year: GS-09 - $60,541

*3rd Year: GS-11 - $73,249

*4th Year: GS-12 - $87,796

*Automatic pay raise each of the first 3 years

Master’s Degree:

1st Year: GS-09- $60,541

*2nd Year: GS-11- $73,249

*3rd Year: GS-12- $87,796

*Automatic pay raise each of the first 2 years

Minimum GPA: 3.0
