K-12 Implementation Specialist

Kendall Hunt Publishing is looking for a K-12 Implementation Specialist. To be considered for this position prior experience as a classroom teacher is required. This role will support and grow the K-12 Professional Learning Division with contributions to implement and execute high-quality Professional Learning (PL) Events, provide guidance to maintain and improve current PL offerings, and translate best implementation practices when communicating with multiple Pre-Adoption to Post-Adoption stakeholders details aligned with Kendall Hunt K-12 product offerings. The ideal candidate will bring their wealth of knowledge and experience to this role as a key influencer.

This position will be based in our home office in Dubuque, Iowa but we are open to meeting with qualified candidates for remote options.

In A Typical Work Week, K-12 Implementation Specialist Will...

  • Take ownership of Kendall Hunt Professional Learning (PL) Events from pre-adoption professional learning details with Sales team and or District, through the adoption phase and supporting district planning for PL and implementation to meet and exceed district goals.
  • Monitor PL Event progress: Review, refine and develop professional learning plans to meet customer needs with both in person and virtual delivery channels to enhance PL Event impact.
  • Be a resource to Sales team and District stakeholders for disseminating best practices for PL implementation to support individual district parameters and goals for curriculum adoption.
  • Coordinate interactions/relationships between Sales, District contacts, facilitators and all other program stakeholders when executing PL Events.
  • Manage facilitator PL Event assignments, workloads, and work schedules.
  • Lead facilitator learning and best practices to provide each the opportunity to gain experience professionally in their facilitator role.
  • Stay updated: Keep up to date with industry trends, best practices, and regulatory requirements related to professional learning to make recommendations for program improvement and innovation.
  • Schedule and organize program-related meetings and events.
  • Provide administrative support as needed to execute successful PL Event.
  • Oversee the use of technology for program operations, such as video conferencing technology, presentation software and other communications technologies.
  • May independently plan and execute assigned projects and operations within the specified department.
  • Bring KH program knowledge and professional learning practices together to support ongoing district learning and long-term program implementation success to the adopting District.


 

Characteristics of Who KH Looks for in K-12 Implementation Specialist You are...

  • Bachelor's degree in related field (K-12 Education, K-12 Administration, Professional Learning)
  • Prior experience as classroom teacher required
  • A top performer that's used to going above and beyond the minimum expectations
  • Competitive, highly organized, and self-driven
  • Knowledge and experience applying professional learning principles, methodologies, and best practices to learner groups
  • Well versed with Microsoft Suite, Google, Zoom. Online digital learning tool experience is a plus
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing priorities
